Collective talent is the driving force behind Final Peak Events. We believe that we have a greater impact as a group rather than through individual effort. That’s why team building is so important to us. By maintaining a collaborative culture with an emphasis on growth, we deliver branding excellence together.
West Coast Organizational Manager
I moved to the United States from England in 2008 on a soccer scholarship to Lambuth University in Jackson, TN. After completing my studies in three and a half years, I moved to California to start my profession in promotional marketing and management. I graduated with a B.S. Communications, Emp. in Sports Marketing in 2011.
When people ask me how I got to where I am currently, it simply comes down to understanding my market value at each phase of my career thus far. When I graduated from college, like many millions of others, I simply realized my market value was extremely small. I wasn’t worth much more than my peers as I had nothing to really distinguish myself from others and I was in the mix with millions, driving down my value. However, I knew I wanted to take steps in order to change that.
When I started my training, I did so because it offered growth. I didn’t take the job because I loved sales. It was not my dream to do that type of work. What I loved was that there was training into upward momentum that I controlled simply by following my training and doing the job without making excuses. It was a position where I had control of my future, my future that upon graduating from University made me very weary.
I also understood early on, even before coming to America, that anything really worth doing is going to get difficult at some point. It’s what you do in that moment that will ultimately determine where you go moving onward – forwards or backwards. The average person quits difficult things, constantly staying stagnate and constantly complaining about it. That was not going to be me.
Being true to form, this job is very difficult and the bigger you get, the more responsibility you have. However so do the rewards. I saw success early but it was short lived like most things that seem too good to be true. I grew quickly but without a solid foundation so when things started to unravel, it came crashing down. On analysis, I figured out what I needed to fix and do differently so next time around, I wouldn’t make the same mistakes again. I could have quit but I’m so glad I didn’t.
With Seattle Promotional Management’s launch in 2018, 2019 was a great year to set an amazing pace. We managed to expand twice within 15 months of opening and now have the foundation to do even more in 2020. As retail continue to feels the pinch of the e-commerce, certain clients have never been more inclined towards representation in the physical retail space. The business world is run on supply and demand and we find ourselves in a very unique space where we are willing to do the job that others are not. This is what separates us from the competition and makes us a valuable part of the clients marketing strategy to help drive their results forward which is 2019 totaled to over $4 million. 2020 is already shaping up to be more successful as we target $5 million in revenue generated for our portfolio.
My name is Jacob, I graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a Bachelors of arts in communications. I was also a member of the men’s soccer team at SPU where I was captain in my final year. After taking a leadership role on the soccer field I found that I enjoyed being a leader, helping others grow, as well as being in control and holding myself accountable. After understanding what Final Peak Events had to offer, I was excited to begin my career here with the team!
I am always eager to learn and take the new skills and information I have learned and put into action. The positive culture in our office is super motivating and this atmosphere helps to keep me excited about coming into work each and every day. My colleagues and mentors push me to the top and they keep me striving for success, not only in my career, but also in my personal life to become the best individual I can be! After being with the company for awhile, I have never learned and seen myself grow as much as I have during my time here, due to my student mentality and willingness to learn from those around me. I am excited to see where this opportunity will take me in the future as I continue my career here at Final Peak Events.
Although I really enjoy my time being a campaign manager and helping not only myself grow, but other grow a work balance life is important. Outside of work I like to stream video games, I’ve recently got into working on my golf game. I also spend a lot of time outside of work with my family and my fur ball pomeranian.
As for the future I am excited to continue building my team and skillset to where I’m able open my own office and run my own market. As a 23 year old I never thought I’d be so close to running my own business, but with the help and mentoring from those within the business and some hard work I am confident I have what it takes.
Human Resources and Recruiting Director
I grew up in the metro area of Kansas City, Kansas. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in Theatre with a Minor in Business from the University of Kansas in 2010. Go Jayhawks! I started in the business in 2012 when my first office opened in Rancho Cucamonga, CA and since then, have overseen the growth of my organization several times over. I also specialize in the training and development of administrators in my division. I currently oversee the human resources and recruiting efforts for offices in not only Denver, CO, but also territories all throughout California in San Diego, the Inland Empire, Sacramento as well as Las Vegas, Nevada, Salt Lake City, UT and Seattle, WA.
I am always impressed by the talent, initiative, passion and mentality within Final Peak Events. They say to surround yourself with successful, positive individuals in order to learn from them as well as to keep yourself motivated. Here at Final Peak, that is never an issue. By keeping our standards high, we work with those who want more out of life. Everyone at Final Peak is constantly pushing themselves to be better and are people who want control of their future, their professional life, and therefore their personal life and what they want to make of it.
Operational Support and Human Resources Administrator
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality, Event Management, and Tourism from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in 2019, I decided to leave the East Coast and see what opportunities awaited me in the Pacific Northwest. In addition to my work here at Final Peak Events, I am also completing my Master of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. Being enrolled in graduate courses helps to maintain a sharp student mentality and keep me aligned with the goals I want to accomplish in both my personal and professional lives.
What drew me to this opportunity at Final Peak Events was the fast-paced environment and support network behind me every step of the way. It is one thing to achieve success for yourself, but it is made that much sweeter when you are able to help others grow professionally along the way and have endless knowledge and resources at your disposal. In today’s jobscape, it is rare to find a work environment that encourages and fosters growth for the collective, as opposed to motivating employees to strive for individual success. It is so refreshing to know that my success and development is not only helping me achieve my goals, but that it also has a positive effect on those around me. Additionally, the chance to gain experience and develop a skill set in promotional marketing, human resources, recruiting, and sales training has been tremendous.
Through my time here at Final Peak Events, I have been able to develop my skills in the promotional marketing and recruitment sectors and become a support system for our office. Currently I am serving in a dual role as the Operational Support and Human Resources Administrator. I feel this role suits me best as it allows me to have a hand in both the behind the scenes aspect of our operation, while still being a front-facing character in the day-to-day promotions we put on.
While I do not have intentions to open up my own office, I am grateful for the time spent with everyone here at Final Peak Events and look forward to making more memories and gaining more experience in the realms of recruiting, operational development, and administrative support to further my professional career. I am grateful for everything Final Peak Events has offered me in the last year and for what is yet to come.
Nearly two years ago in 2018, I was fresh out of college and initially in search of a long lasting career in events management. I didn’t quite know where I would find my niche but I knew what my core values were—rewarding, leadership, and teamwork. I interviewed with several companies but this structure stood out most. I was drawn to its merit based growth centered around my core values. I believe, when continually improved performances are rewarded with greater opportunities, professional and self growth follows. On the contrary, seniority based growth inspires mediocrity. Final Peak Events steers very clear of this. In addition to providing me opportunities to train others to grow and building my resume, such values seen here sparked my excitement for my future and I knew I had to join.
Come summer 2018, driven by sheer passion for opportunistic growth, I found myself engrossed in wonderful aspects of leadership—team building and training—both in and out of the field. After only several months of working, I gained increased confidence with my skill sets and have tremendously added value to my resume. Here are some key examples: I am now versed in training entry level candidates, managing a team of 5+, and most rewardingly, training other managers.
One of the most centering aspects of working here, though, is an environment that spurs growth. Although I initially sought a career in events management, working this job made me realize I wanted something more. Growing up, I dreamt of owning a bar but thought it was out of my reach. I am proud to say that my perception has drastically changed since I started seeing tangible it was. I have achieved business goals I never imagined achieving and am on a path towards generating capital to invest in my dream business venture. Dreams really do come true—it’s just our job to make it happen. With Final Peak, I know I can get there. With ownership, it seems the possibilities are endless.
On a similar note, one of my favorite aspects about growing here is traveling and meeting other teams throughout the country. I find it most intriguing how different teams adapt to their surrounding culture to best capitalize on business opportunities. I have enjoyed learning how to adapt to my immediate audience and witnessing commonalities between successful business owners. Admittedly, my curiosity in business growth has brought me to speak with business owners outside of this industry. There seems to be common interests in goals and simply doing more—understandably, such things lead to bigger business success.
After a year of working in Seattle, I proudly accepted the position of Market Manager and moved down to California to work alongside another owner. As a partner, I recruited, trained leaders, and set higher standards for that office. After several months of visible growth, I am excited to continue learning and growing in my own market. I am delighted to rebuild a team as Final Peak and I continue my story. While the future is not certain, I am eager to continue my growth here.
